The Proud legacy of the Lutheran High School Association of Southern California
1953- 2011 Lutheran High Alumni - WELCOME LIONS
2011- Present Concordia High Alumni - WELCOME COUGARS

The Lutheran High School Association of Southern California was founded in 1943, with the goal of establishing a new Christian high school. As a result, L. A. Lutheran High School opened its doors in 1953. Since that first year,the school has been well known as both Christ centered and academically strong, graduating young people prepared to be future leader and honorable citizens. Thousands have graduated from this noble institution. To God be the glory!

Spreading the Gospel message through education, the mission continues today. We honor the graduates who have formed the deep roots which have expanded the Lutheran High Association's ministry to become a Preschool - grade 8 system of schools, known as

The purpose of this site to help maintain the relationships that were forged during the years together at Lutheran and Concordia High Schools. Alumni support one another and the school through prayer, giving, and involvement.

If you are one of our proud alumni, please register in our Alumni Directory by calling or emailing Peggy Courtney.

Below are photos from the Ventura County Alumni & Friends Reconnect Event on August 30th. Photos include yearbook photos of the attendees from the year they graduated. It's fun to see both now and then!

LA Lutheran High alums from the San Fernando Valley & Ventura County area joined us at San Vincente Cellars/Winemakers Experience in Westlake Village. Amazing wine, great food, and good friends!

All attendees, except for one, were from the class of 1962 - our generous host, John Hamilton, is from the class of 1963.

We shared lots of laughs with funny stories about "Lake Lutheran", ditching school for a trip to the beach, a wooden shed for a locker room with no showers and a concrete floor, Steve Magnuson’s fogged-up glasses that led him to accidentally join the opponent’s huddle during a football game, and trips to the Witch Stand Drive-In.

Those in attendance were John Hamilton, Doris Ferrel, Judi Earl, Bill Basner, Patricia (Mueller) Seltzer, and Crystl (Moser) Baker and her husband Tom.

It was great to see OC area alumni representation from the 60s, 70s, and 80s while enjoying food, fun, and fellowship on Aug 22nd at BJ's Brew House in Huntington Beach!

Those in attendance were Wayne Olson ('63), Wayne's wife Jan, Gary Reynolds ('65), and Brian Gannon ('86) (included in photos) along with Dr. Bharat Patel ('72), Stacey (Tucker) Johnson ('79) and Valerie Busch ('79) – unfortunately we missed taking photos of Bharat, Stacey, and Valerie (next year for sure!).

A message from our Community Relations Dir., Peggy Courtney;

I love speaking with the alumni and alumni parents. What these graduates have accomplished and how they serve their families and our communities is absolutely inspiring. A great Christian education helps the individual and our society. It is my desire to see that today’s student has the same educational experience and that the same outcomes continue for future generations.
