Mrs. Peggy Courtney Bio - 2nd Grade / Community Relations
I began teaching elementary students in Lutheran schools in 1988…a long time ago! I believe I have been blessed with the best possible career. I was thrilled to join the staff of Concordia, Granada Hills, in 2016. My teaching experience extends from 5th and 6th grades to kindergarten. Parents often ask which grade I prefer to teach. The truth is I love them all. I recognize that God has created each student to be a very unique learner. It is a great privilege to assist each one to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
Relationship building at school and in the community is important to me. I serve on the Homeless Services Committee in Sylmar, attend local Chamber events, and correspond with school alum and donors. Working with the Concordia parent volunteers is a highlight each year.
I am a wife, mom, and grandmother. Both of my children attended Lutheran Schools and are amazing human beings. My grandchildren are pure joy. The Lord has been faithful through the ups and downs of our lives and I look forward to what He has planned for us in the coming days.
